Barbara has extensive experience in secondary schools as a food teacher and as a subject leader at middle management level. She has a thorough understanding of all material areas in design and technology whilst maintaining a specialist interest in food technology. Her work as an Advisory Teacher has involved the delivery of professional development at primary and secondary level.
Barbara is an Area Trainer for the Food Partnership Programme – a national Government project providing free training in food for primary teachers. She is also a Consultant to the Licence to Cook programme and Let’s Get Cooking (a national project setting up cooking clubs).
Barbara regularly presents seminars and workshops at national conferences and has authored a number of curriculum resource materials.
