Jacqueline Wilson was born in Bath in 1945, but spent most of her childhood in Kingston-on-Thames. She always wanted to be a writer and wrote her first “novel” when she was nine, filling countless Woolworths’ exercise books as she grew up. Since having her daughter, Emma, she has been writing full time.

Her insightful and emotionally challenging books not only stretch reading ability, but give young readers a glimpse into many kinds of lives. Smart girls, strong girls, bad girls, brave girls. Girls keeping their families going, girls trying to get away… Jacqueline Wilson’s written about them all! In June 2002 Jacqueline was given an OBE for services to literacy in schools, and she was the Children’s Laureate from 2005-2007. She also became a Dame in December 2007.

   This is a book what everyone should read it is a brilliant book who ever will read it will love it for ever and ever because its a wonderful book and once you star you wonder whats next so please read it now.Micky is terrified of dogs. The only answer seems to be to get him a puppy of his own. But when he picks a baby werewolf, Wolfie turns out to be a very special pet – and a real joker too! This lighthearted short comedy with a wonderfully snappy central character is a treat for newly confident readers, and especially good for boys. Most of you will love it so read to find out what happens next.

   This is such a good book and i would recommend it to anyone who loves a good laugh! I read this book on holiday which was perfect because it was so funny and comical! I read this book in 2 days and I couldn’t put it down it was so good. This book is about a boy called Mickey who is terrified of dogs but when his parents, after a lot of persuasion, they let him have his own dog. Mickey choses a baby werewolf which he calls Wolfie. Wolfie turns out to be a special pet with a lot of personality which is perfect for Mickey!
