Take part in Read for Good’s Big Holiday Read!

We’ve teamed up with Read for Good to help celebrate their Big Holiday Read. By taking part in the sponsored read, you’ll be raising money to send much-needed books and storytellers to children spending their summer holidays stuck in hospital. Plus you could win your school a visit from top author and Tom Gates creator Liz Pichon!

Some tips to pass on to kids wanting to get involved:

Get reading!

Decide what you want to read. Anything goes: comics, blogs, listening to books all count. Find some inspiration in our Summer Book Club below, or visit your library and have a go at the Summer Reading Challenge – whatever and however you read is up to you! Ask friends and family to sponsor you – per book or per minute.

Get sponsored!

Collect your sponsor money using this good old-fashioned sponsor form and then visit JustGiving to pay all your sponsor money online in one go

or

Ask an adult to set up a Big Holiday Read fundraising page on JustGiving by clicking here (they will need to set up a JustGiving account if they haven’t already got one).
