Product description

Got into a scrape? Caused a spot of bother? Is Mum fuming? Well… relax! Take a tour through history to see the horrid things that kids did in the past – and the gruesome price they paid! You might think you’re about to seriously catch it. But long ago, bad kids really didn’t get off lightly. Let’s face it: however angry your headteacher gets, it’s fairly certain she won’t put you in a pillory and nail your ears to it. Or that hitting your parents will result in having your fingers chopped off. Eeek! But that’s what things were like in the nasty past… So join Tony Robinson on a gruesome trip through time, meeting some of these little outlaws. Shudder at their dreadful deeds – and their dire punishments!
