Product description
When Jessica’s best friend goes off with new-girl Amelia, Jessica is hurt but determined not to take it lying down. She has a plan, and a secret weapon – her felt-tips. The pen is mightier than the sword, after all, and having a sense of humour wins Jessica far more friends than she loses.
A funny, wise story that will touch a nerve with everyone who reads it from author and stand-up comedian, Catherine Wilkins.

I found the illustrations in this book hilarious. Jessica is an enthusiastic cartoonist who can’t stand Amelia (her enemy) as she is trying to steal her best friend who is called Nat. on 23 October 2012Jessica and Natalie are best friends until a new girl called Amelia wants some attention and to be friends with Jessica’s best friend Natalie. Amelia bullies Jessica and even gangs up on her with a real gang (C.A.C), Jessica tries to ignore them until she’s so annoyed with them she gets a gang of her own (A.C.E.) The battle between the both of the gangs goes on for a couple of weeks before it gets a bit out of hand. Later on in the story Amelia and Natalie pulls Jessica over before going to one of the lessons (they are in secondary school) Natalie budges Amelia to ask Jessica if Jessica would like to join C.A.C . . .
I think this book is aimed at children aged between 10-12 years of age. I think most kids have been in a similar situation at some point.
I wouldn’t improve anything about this book and I am actually looking forward to thinking what is happening to the characters right now!!!!
This book was so good I would recommend it to anyone I know.
Five out of five stars!

This is an amazing book! I picked this up randomly from the library not knowing how AMAZING and true it is! Jessica is trying to get her friend Natalie to be friends with her after new girl Amelia steals her. Don’t worry it gets better at the end!😊
