Product description
A fantastic new adventure for brave, feisty Hetty Feather – one of Jacqueline Wilson’s best-loved characters.
Since leaving the Foundling Hospital, Hetty has seen her fair share of drama, excitement, tragedy and loss. After the death of her beloved mama, she sets off to find a real home at last – starting with the search for her father. But Hetty is no longer a simple country girl, and she begins to fear she’ll never truly belong anywhere. Even when she is reunited with her beloved childhood sweetheart, Jem, Hetty still longs for adventure and a richer life. And then an enchanting figure from her past makes an unexpected reappearance. Could a future full of excitement lie in wait?

on 4 December 2013The last book in the Hetty Feather trilogy and probably the best. I love this book Jaqueline is at her top form here. Find out how Hetty meets loving Lizzie, her fisherman father and horse riding Madame Adaline. In this book Hetty is ready to face her future, but who will she choose? Her beloved Jem, her long lost father or the circus from her past. Find out what Hetty decides to do when she finds out her friend Janet’s secret. This a tale of warmth, friendship and dilemmas. This has Jaqueline Wilson all over it and is definatly has a five star rating.

on 28 July 2013I finished this book about 2 weeks ago and I loved it soooo much! I didn’t really think that this book would live up to my expectations of the other 2 books, sapphire battersea and hetty feather but I certainly did!! All of the books show a diffierent side of hetty, from naughty to independent, to grown up and more lady-like. Emerald star shows all three of her personality as she goes back in time and looks to the future. This book is really well written by Jacqueline Wilson and i would defiantly recommend this book to all ages, old and young! :):):)

on 19 March 2013This book is a beautiful novel and it really did fill me with tears at one point. Hetty feels so realistic and the way Jacqueline Wilson has made me really befriend Hetty Is great. I am upset that I have finished the trilogy. I really do think it is intended on ten years and over because it is hard to understand and maybe a good nine year old could tackle it but I am sure everyone will enjoy it I give it 5/5

on 7 March 2013I really loved this book. I think I enjoyed it party because it is part of a series containing three books.
In the first book, Hetty Feather, you get to know Hetty and even though she was still quite young, you could recognise her temper and stubborness.
In the second book, Sapphire Battersea, Hetty works at Mr Buchanan’s house. Then she gets fired and goes to her mama.
In the third book, this book, Emerald Star, Hetty goes to find her father.
please read, the best book ever <3

on 5 March 2013Jacqueline Wilson is THE author to go to when looking for a good book for young girls although to be honest her old stuff is a lot more interesting and meaning compared to the new. Emerald star is a sequel to Hetty feather which is different as JW rarely writes sequels

on 2 March 2013I am afraid this book didnt meet my expectations. I really wanted Hetty to stay with Jem, but she certianly disappointed me. Also, the way things were mentioned in the blurb, it sounded like Hetty will have to choose between her father and Jem, but the actual thing was different to what I expected. This isn’t as good as the other books in the ‘Hetty Feather’ series, which is a pity as its the last installment.

on 12 January 2013This book is full of exciting stuff. But Hetty, Sapphire and Emerald has so much decision. What will happen in the end? Will she join the circus or stay with Jem? I love this book. Its like a non-fiction book. Poor Hetty.

on 30 October 2012Hetty has grown as a character throughout the novel after I read sapphire battesea I had many predictions I thought hefty would marry Bertie and she would find her dad and live happily ever after but Wilson changed the obvious view and the whole novel shocked me. Unfortunately this may be the last Wilson book I am going to read because her books are a bit easy and i need to challenge my vocab. Perhaps if Wilson wrote a new book for teens I would possibly read it.

on 23 October 2012I really liked reading Emerald Star by Jacqueline Wilson, it was so good!!! I really enjoyed reading it as it was the third Hetty Feather book and it was the last one. However, I preferred the second Hetty Feather book; Sapphire Battersea, over this one because Sapphire Battersea was more emotional and dramatic. But Emerald Star has more adventure in it as Hetty tries to find her father. My favourite character is Jem because although he loves Hetty as childhood sweetheart, and Hetty loves him as a brother (they are not really related), he still respects her and is kind towards her. My least favourite character is Peg because she is really mean. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I recommend it for people over twelve.

Emerald Star is a brilliant book, but don’t make the mistake I made-I am reading this book now, and I haven’t read Hetty Feather or Saphire Battersea yet! I have got Saphire Battersea, but I haven’t read it yet!
