Product description
Havoc breaks out when Miss Wilberton decides to put on a school play of The Sound of Music. Clarice is desperate to play the part of Leisl – she would utterly be great at it! – but that will involve persuading Miss Wilberton that she won’t be any TROUBLE. Meanwhile, the school spelling bee is approaching, and naughty boy Karl Wrenbury is in a really bad fix. Can Clarice take a leaf out of Ruby Redford’s book – the leaf where it says ‘never let a good pal down’ – even if it means landing herself in bigger trouble than ever? Creating a fresh, funny voice that just leaps from the page, and an engaging moral dilemma for Clarice to tussle with, this warm and sympathetic story spells entertainment all round!
