Product description

What do you get up to in your summer holidays? Have fun in the park? Visit the pool? Hang out with your friends? Brothers Will and Marty want to do all those things. But where is Mum sending them? The LIBRARY. (Groan.) Even if you’re the world’s biggest bookworm, being stuck indoors all summer is no fun. But that’s not the worst thing. The worst thing is Mrs Murphy, the dreaded librarian. If you cross her, she’ll shoot you with her gas-powered potato gun! (Just ask Ugly Frank how he got his nickname.) The only way to keep this scary librarian sweet? Showing her how much you love books…

  • Cheeky younger fiction by the Artemis Fowl author
  • A side-splitting caper for confident younger readers
  • First in a hilarious series about brothers Will and Marty

This is one of my favourite books, I love it. There is a good bit where his brother tricks him into going to get a book in the adult’s section because his brother said he’d tell him where Action Man is buried in the garden but when he gets back he reveals it’s only buried in the toy box!

This book is GREAT! I loved it! It was really interesting how they never liked the library and then they were sniking out to get books even though they knew they would get punsihed very strictly! FUNNY!

The Legend of Spud Murphy is an ok book – not my favourite though. It is far from realistic even down to the characters names. I have started reading Artemis Fowl – hopefully I shall enjoy that more… Watch out for my Artemis Fowl review once I have read it!
