World Book Day Event Week: Fairy Tales and Animal Stories with Axel Scheffler

Join the UK’s number one picture book illustrator, Axel Scheffler, for a special show celebrating fairy tales and animal stories. Axel will draw a selection of fairytale friends and will show children how to create different animal expressions including characters from his new book Happy Bunnies, as well as The Three Little Pigs, the first in his new fairytale series. Then children can settle down for a lovely reading of one of Axel’s most famous stories with a fairy tale setting, Zog and the Flying Doctors (written by Julia Donaldson) and see Axel draw Zog, Sir Gadabout and Princess Pearl.
