Product description
“I had a plan for me and Zelda. Pretend to be someone else. Find new parents. Be safe forever. Then the Nazis came.”
Felix and Zelda have escaped from immediate danger, leaping from the cattle train transporting them to the death camps. But their trials are far from over. The Nazis are everywhere, genocide is in full swing, and there is nowhere safe for them to hide. Then the children find someone who will give them shelter, disguising them as her own offspring. But as the bond between the children and their rescuer grows, they will learn that, in a time of atrocity, love is not enough to conquer all… The second book in Morris Gleitzman’s heartbreaking trilogy set in Poland during the Holocaust.

on 10 November 2012A truly heartbreaking book that reminds you of how cruel it was to be stuck in the holocaust and WW2. Felix has lost so much hope but it doesn’t die.
