Product description

Imagine. You’re waiting for the postman, about to receive your A-level results. University, a career in journalism… a glittering future lies ahead. But when the doorbell rings, it’s your old girlfriend, Mel. She’s turned up unexpectedly – with a baby. A baby which she says is yours. That’s bad enough. But then Mel nips out to buy some essentials, leaving you literally holding the baby. And she doesn’t come back… Hard-hitting, contemporary and totally page-turning, Malorie Blackman’s dramatic new novel is a must-read for every teenager.

“A story which, once read, will not easily go away.” Nicholas Tucker, Independent

“A powerful, insightful and equally thought provoking story about a teenage boy coming to terms with his responsibilities… Malorie Blackman’s tough and tender story will grip the hearts of all readers.” Lovereadingforkids.co.uk

    Well worth a read

I liked this book because it was different and told the story of teenage parenthood from a boy's point of view and covered some difficult issues. The main characters are very likeable and the book really makes you think. Well worth a read.
