Naz is nicknamed the “goal machine” because he scores goals for fun. He’s the league’s top scorer. But then things start to go wrong: fabulous saves, the woodwork, an injury…His confidence wanes and he tries too hard. All of a sudden he can’t buy a goal. His place is in doubt for the cup game. An injury gives him a break and he finally gets back on track – with a huge slice of luck – and ends up scoring a hat-trick. Freestylers are a range of reading books with low-level text for readers with a reading age of 5-7. The engaging stories are perfect for older, struggling readers as well as emerging readers. All texts have been checked by reading consultant Dee Reid.

Lexiles are the global standard in reading assessment. They are unique as
they are able to measure a child and a book on the same scale – ensuring
the right book gets to the right child at the right time.
