Product description

“Long ago, on the wild and windy isle of Berk, a smallish Viking with a longish name stood up to his ankles in snow…”

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III was just a nerdy little Viking, not big or hairy or scary at all. In fact, however terrifying he tried to look, he often just ended up looking quite – well – cute! He wasn’t loud enough to make himself heard at his father’s dinner table; he wasn’t tough enough to beat his bullying rival Snotlout at ball games – and he certainly wasn’t stupid enough to go into a cave full of dragons to find a pet! So how did valiant Hiccup meet his midget sidekick Toothless the Dragon, and become a mighty hero after all? First in the mega-selling Hiccup series, this is a side-splitting, breathtaking romp, bursting to the hilt with dragons, pirates, brave heroes, amazing battles and hilarious pencil cartoons.

“Bulging with good jokes, funny drawings and dramatic scenes, it is absolutely wonderful.” Independent on Sunday

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III is a really unlikely hero. Always out-shone by Snoutlout, his glory hunting cousin who thinks Hiccup would make an awful chief of the Hairy Hooligan tribe. But Hiccup can talk to dragons! He meets Toothless, the toothless Common – or – Garden (Or Toothless Daydream, as he likes to call himself!) and they show their Hero-ness by saving the tribe from a Seadragonus Giganticus Maximus! * * * * *! Loved it! It was sooooo funny!
