Product description

“I was an ordinary boy, until I visited the Cirque Du Freak… until I met Madam Octa… until I came face to face with a creature of the night. That’s when my life changed completely. I don’t expect you to believe me, but everything I describe in this book happened just as I tell it…”

When Darren Shan goes into the Cirque Du Freak, he has no idea that he’ll leave his humanity behind there. It’s a bizarre freak show of arcane performers such as Hans Hands, Gertha Teeth, the Wolf Man and Rhamus Twobellies. But in the midst of the ghoulish excitement, true terror raises its head. The vampire Mr Crepsley is not faking it... From the internationally best-selling author of The Demonata, this is the chilling, thrilling vampire story that started it all.

“A plot full of twists that leaves the reader hungry for more.” J K Rowling

One of my favourite Darren Shan books and i think it’s better than the film. Reading it makes you feel like you are there, i like books that can make you feel that way.

i completely agree with j k rowling, the book is always surprising, whicj is perfect because it is written in first person and the main character isnt going to know what is going to happen in his life so why should the reader. i love seeing the world through the eyes of someone else. i thought the book ws so briliantly indescriably good! *not for the faint hearted
