Product description

This takes the form of Tom’s battered homework diary – crammed with his doodles and stories.

“Back to school, but it’s not all bad. We’re entering Rooster in a dog show, the School Disco and my birthday are coming up so this term’s going to be amazing! Mostly because Delia’s not invited to any of these. There’s only one small problem with my birthday, Granny Mavis says she’s going to cook . . . uh oh!”

I LOVE Tom Gates books so much now and I really want to purchase one and maybe start a collection. It’s really funny but I can’t relate to them. On this one he is not good at times tables ( I am) and he copies (which I don’t do) but the author makes the book more interesting and the images and the bubble writing is really nice!

Liz’s books are very good if don’t like reading a book what just has words it has pictures to go with it. I would say it is for boys and girls 9 to 12 years.

Everything’s Amazing! Every single doodle and word is Amazing, absolutely Everything’s Amazing, there’s no (Sort Of) about it. Perfect and hilarious read. Long, but worth the read. Another Tom Gates books are: Tom Gates Is Fantastic (At Some Things), which I think is the latest book. Read it… or wish you had!

Rooster the ‘chicken dog’ is hilarious!! Great book Delia just gets sulkier and sulkier! Dino Village looks like a really good place! I felt happy when Tom’s dad put his brother Kevin in his place. Great fun

Back to school, but it’s not all bad. Sports Day, the school fair and Tom’s birthday are all coming up. And even better, his awful big sister Delia won’t be at any of those events! On the downside, Granny Mavis is threatening to make his birthday cake – uh oh! But on the other hand, Mr Keen has asked Dogzombies to perform in front of the whole school! YEAH! Maybe they can even play at the school disco too. How can the term turn out any less than seriously amazing?

As ever Tom Gates has pleased me yet again. What I really like about them is that they are full of doodles and humour.

My favourite scene was right at the end when the family were in Toms Bedroom playing on Tom`s new guitar!

My favourite character was Mr. Sprocket as he became the DJ at Oakfield Primary`s Disco, what was surprising was that he played a song from DUDE3`s new album, it shows that there are more to teachers than what first meets the eye!

I rate this book 10/10, the English equivalent of Diary of a Wimpy Kid! I`m looking forward to the sequel Liz!

I liked this book, but it wasn’t what I expected it to be. I liked the plot – in fact I loved the plot! – but the cartoons in and around the writing distracted me a little bit. I would recommend it, though!
