When three baby owlets wake up and realise that Mummy has gone hunting, they anxiously wait and worry about her in the big black night. But as they wish and wish for Mummy, suddenly she comes – swooping back through the trees to put their minds at ease! Shimmering with twilight atmosphere and gently addressing young children’s fear of separation, this much-loved classic has delighted generations of readers.
