Windrush Day marks the anniversary of the arrival of MV Empire Windrush on 22nd June 1948. It is a celebration of the contribution of the Windrush generation and their descendants in modern day Britain. Join us at 11am on the 22nd June for this special event, where contributors to The Place for Me: Stories About the Windrush Generation will discuss the historical importance of the events of 1948 and why it is vital we continue to recognise the Windrush generation. K. N. Chimbiri, who also wrote The Story of the Windrush, will be in conversation with Kirsty Latoya and Quincy the Comedian.
