Product description
GingerSnaps by Cathy Cassidy is a favourite for girls aged 9+
Gone are the days when Ginger was an outsider, always on the fringes of friendship. She’s swapped puppy fat and pigtails for make-up and hair straighteners and never looked back – until now. Ginger and Shannon are best mates, but when they befriend lonely Emily, everything changes. Even the saxophone-playing boy in the trilby hat can’t help – he’s part of the problem . . . Are Ginger and Shannon drifting apart or can they stay best friends for ever?
‘Touching, tender and unforgettable’ – Guardian ‘Cassidy’s characters have real heart’ – Sunday Telegraph ‘Cathy Cassidy . . . is way better than Jacqueline Wilson’ – Courtney, aged 10
Includes delicious recipes, character quizzes and more!

on 31 December 2014If you liked the Jacqueline Wilson ‘girls in love’ series then this is the author for you. This book follows the life of a teenaged bulling victim as she learns the unspoken rules of high school and is forced to chose between love and popularity. Although well written and realistic I found this book to soppy for my taste.

on 3 March 2012Ginger snaps was so exciting to read, because it combined both romance and a story of acceptance. I read it a long while ago now, but the characters will forever be inprinted in my memory, because it was such a unique tale. And I just loved the idea of blue lemonade, YUMMY! :D

on 1 March 2012This is my favourite Cathy Cassidy book. Ginger Brown. Yeah, that’s her name. She also has hair the colour of carrots. In Year 7, she meets Shannon, and she doesn’t care about the hair! They become best friends and know eachother inside-out (sort of) but Ginger left out a tiny detail, she was bullied and no one used to like her :( * * * * *

on 1 March 2012Gingersnaps was perfect in every way. It has a message behind it, a good plot and interesting characters. Cathy Cassidy put effort into the personality of each character, not just the main one. This is an outstanding book that I highly recommend.

on 23 February 2012I loved this book! At first I thought Shannon was a really nice person but at the end I could so see that she was not best friend material. Sam on the other hand!.... I fell for him straight away! A great book! You’ve got to read it!
